Marbella Hotels Information

You can’t possibly say which are the best or the most luxurious hotels in Marbella because each hotel shines in different areas and in different ways. However here are a few that we think deserve a mention.

A couple of classics, well renowned in the area are The Marbella Club and the Gran Melia Don Pepe. The Marbella Club is the original and possibly still the best, has quality in all areas, the rooms, the location, the facilities (it has its own golf courses exclusive to hotel guests) and the food (particularly at the Marbella Club Grill). The Gran Melia Don Pepe, again in a fantastic location a short stroll from Marbella city centre, has recently refurbished all of its rooms reiterating its fine standing in the area.

For the golfer looking for the ultimate getaway then two hotels spring to mind, the La Cala Resort and the Ritz Hotel Villa Padierna. The La Cala Resort has access to three onsite golf courses and the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. La Cala is set back up in the Sierra mountains affording it the luxury to spread its legs and therefore includes a football pitch, tennis courts, a gym, squash courts and a newly built spa. The Ritz-Carlton Villa Padierna has to be seen to be believed, it looks like an Italian mansion, set in Los Flamingos golf course this is one of the most lavish hotels, set in magnificent surroundings with one of the most extensive and exclusive spas on the coast.

The Kempinski Estepona Hotel is modern with large spacious rooms. One of the finest on the coast, is a perfect retreat for relaxation, with excellent spa facilities and expansive luscious grounds leading to the beach.

The Guadalpin Banus is the best if you’re looking to stay in Puerto Banus, the decoration is very modern with fantastic wooden furnishings, it’s right on the beach, ten minutes walk to the nightlife of the Port and five to the best beach club in the area, Ocean Club. Guadalpin Banus is luxurious 5 star hotel but has rooms from 55 euros per person in the winter.
