Garum is Timo Hamalainen’s second restaurant venture after the success of La Comedia. It certainly deserves to be in the Creative section of the Restaurants. To prove this one of their starters that caused much intrigue was the foie gras ice cream and chocolate marmalade. The menu includes varieties of fish and beef; they also have a tapas menu you can choose some nibbles from and an extensive mainly Spanish based wine list. Garum is located on the front promenade of Marbella that provides a lovely setting for breakfast and lunch where you can watch the world go by. Once sun down occurs they open up the glass partition and you can choose to dine on their terrace or inside. The service is excellent; extremely friendly staff and some Scandinavian hospitality from the owners. Garum is about straight talking food served up stylishly and imaginatively in a contemporary atmosphere.
