Tikitano is in a wonderful position right on the beach in between San Pedro and Estepona. Because of its slightly out of town location the restaurant can afford to stretch its legs and is housed in a large Polynesian style building with high ceilings and a thatched roof. The wooden interior and the warm atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in Hawaii rather than Spain. The views from Tikitano are spectacular, the large balcony sits practically over the water, looking out over to Gibraltar and North Africa. The restaurant always has some sort of live music playing that changes throughout the week. The food is of extremely high quality; the menu is creative, fresh and changes seasonally to make the most of what’s best in the market. We often have the taster menu which includes a choice of fresh salmon or goat’s cheese to start, and then two main dishes, beef fillet and sea bass, then to finish a selection of mini deserts. This is a superb way of getting a real feel for Tikitano and each dish comes with a different glass of wine to compliment the flavours. They also do some fantastic cocktails that come in huge glasses made for sharing if you´re feeling generous enough. Tikitano restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and is suitable for everyone, we have had some lovely evening meals here and use the restaurant for birthday occasions every summer.
