The stunning Finca Besaya is located in a villa set amongst an avocado farm on a windy road going up behind Marbella. It certainly is one of the most interestingly decorated restaurant/art museum I have ever seen and stepping into it you feel as if you have entered a lavish villa stuck in time. It is extremely old school with paintings and antiques lining its three storeys, there is also a patio if you wish to dine under the stars.
There are three main dining areas at the Finca Besaya, the first being on the ground floor that has an enormous fireplace and bar and then upstairs you can choose from ‘the blue room’ or ‘the library’ that is filled, surprisingly with old books. On the third floor there is a collection of art from renowned painters of the last century.
The food is extremely refined and sophisticated. Crafted by the hands of chefs native to both England and France; dishes include shoulder of lamb with black olive sauce and couscous, duck confit with crispy potatoes and entrecote steak with mushroom sauce. This is a popular restaurant that is right for any occasion but gets busy in the summer so be sure to book.
The combination of a beautiful setting, exciting atmosphere and delicious food makes for a great evening at Finca Besaya. If you can hang on til 1 in the morning the place really comes alive on the outside patio with a fully loaded bar, dancers and music!!
