About Buenaventura

Buenaventura is set right in the heart of Old Town Marbella in the corner of the Plaza de la Iglesia stands this lovely little restaurant. Inside, it’s warm, cosy and traditional; outside faces onto the square and the beautiful 18th Century church and is probably the best al fresco dining spot in the centre of Marbella.

Headed up by chef Alexis Gonzalez, the food is prepared to perfection, simple but with subtle flavouring that brings it to life. Dishes include venison steak with juniper sauce and white fish with ratatouille and a thick almond cream. The chef’s Menu de Degustacion (the Tasting Menu) is an absolute pleasure to sample, offered with or without wine however I would suggest the former due to the chef’s selection for the different dishes acts as the perfect accompaniment.

Buenaventura welcomes visitors year round and is a winner with large groups and romantic couples alike.
