The Marbella restaurant was born from a love of food and art. Headed up by a sister team The art is constantly changing making it a restaurant as well as an art exhibition. We started our meal with a small cup of vegetable soup and some pate on toast. The soup was so good that it prompted me to have the pumpkin soup for my starter, which was equally as thick and delicious. But before that we had a tasting of olive oils selected from different regions in Spain. For the main cours ei had the chicken pie with orange sauce which was certainly unlike anything I had tried before mixing savoury with sweet. I have to say I wasn’t the biggest fan but handing it over to my dining partner apparently I was wrong. Other mains included a grilled entrecote and baby lamb chops. For dessert we shared a chocolate soufflé that was delicious although went down a little too quickly. Arete is different in both the culinary sense and atmospheric sense, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night then you might find you are dining amidst a show of some sort but whatever you find you are sure to be treated to a tasty and healthy meal.
